Android phone keeps saying currently unable to download

Had problems with my Ipad2 with recent update of Facebook. Looked everywhere, tried everything. Followed the suggestions and…. I used iMazing to connect with pc to Ipad. OMGosh, only dealt with this error couple days after trying to download music from my cloud.. This is a great fix, and resolved!! Thank you!

Just updated to IOS Downloaded Phoneview and deleted the files, rebooted, no luck. Did it again and followed up with an iTunes update — deleted unused apps and added a playlist and synced the phone. Then tried going straight thru the camera app and that worked as well.

Right now, all is well. This is no help. On iphone or computer? It finally works. Thankyou for posting this! I eventually gave up. Thank you-thank you-thank you!!! That worked perfectly. Have had this problem on my iPhone for a year now and tried several things to fix it. I clicked on the folder Downloads, with the bad file at the very bottom of the list when I scrolled down.

OMG this worked! Thank you so much! I have been waiting forever to get this taken off the dang phone, I have tried everything. You are a lifesaver! Months of aggravation are now over. It seems to have worked perfectly. All is well with the universe now. Again … my sincere thanks! I used the program in trial mode and it is fixed! I had two files in the download files that I deleted. The instructions on how to get to the iPad directory were a little off but I got there in the end! Thanks a bunch!

After selecting that I followed the instructions exactly and am now rebooting my device. I have been battling this issue for a couple of years. Check if the error has been fixed. Make sure that all the app are updated so that any problems arising from and the outdated app is resolved. Make sure that your phone has the latest software update. If you have delayed any update then this is the time to check. Many device errors sprout from an outdated software.

Once all the updates are installed, your device will restart automatically. Check if the problem reoccurs after the update. Sometimes the error may appear when a third-party app is trying to download some data in the background and the download fails. To find out if a third party app is causing the problem, restart your device in Safe Mode and check if you get the error now.

When your device is in Safe Mode, it disables all the third party apps and works solely on the stock Android apps for the device. Check if the error appears on your device again. This step will help you identify whether the problem lies in the stock apps and software of the device or in the third party apps that you have installed on your device. If the error does not appear then you must check which app is causing the problem.

Begin by uninstalling the latest app that you had installed and keep uninstalling the apps till the error goes away. By doing this you will be able to identify the problem app. On the other hand, if you do not want to go through the hassle of installing one app at a time, you can do a factory reset to remove all data from your device and start afresh.

If your device showed the error in Safe Mode as well, then also you must complete a factory reset to let your device wipe all data that may be causing a problem and start all over again with a clean slate. Resetting the device to factory settings will wipe all data from the device.

This includes all videos, photos and any other important files stored on the device. It will also wipe all third-party apps that have been deleted from the device. To ensure that you do not lose any data, you must create a backup of all the important files. Just press the X next to their name to cancel the download and proceed with getting the app you urgently need. Check your connection It might sound silly, but this should always be one of the first steps you take.

Here is how to do that: Head to the Play Store and then tap on the menu button in the upper left corner three lines. If downloading resumes as normal, your home or office network is to blame. Restart your modem and if all else fails, call your Internet service provider. Check your storage and SD card. Free up some space by uninstalling unused apps or deleting old photos and videos you have backed up elsewhere. Attempt your download once again.

Download apps through your browser instead You can try circumventing the download pending problem by getting your apps via your mobile or PC browser. Clear Google Play app cache and data. Head to Settings , then Apps. Locate the Google Play Store and tap it. Underneath the Disable, Uninstall updates, and Force stop buttons, you will see App notifications and other options. Tap on Storage. Make sure Google Play is closed, and then hit the Clear Cache button.

Check for system updates Are your downloads still stubbornly pending? Change your Google account One of the other methods that might help you avoid the download pending error is removing or switching the Google account associated with the Play Store.

Tap it. Find your Google account on the list. Tap it and select Remove account. Restart your device. You should see an Add account option. Tap it and re-add your old account or add a new one. Reattempt your download. Uninstall and reinstall Play Store updates If you are at the end of your rope and nothing seems to help, a more drastic step might be in order.
